Baked Fish Fillet is a simple and healthy dish that highlights the natural flavor of the fish and offers a light yet tasty option for a complete meal. Preparation begins by selecting a fresh cut of fish—such as salmon, sea bass, branzino, or swordfish—which is thoroughly cleaned and washed. The fish is then seasoned with extra virgin olive oil, fresh lemon juice, salt, pepper, and herbs such as fresh parsley, garlic, and rosemary.
After marinating for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors, the fish is placed in a baking dish lightly greased with extra virgin olive oil. It is then baked in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 15–20 minutes, or until the flesh is tender and flakes easily with a fork. During cooking, you may brush the fish with a little olive oil or melted butter to keep it moist and aromatic.
Once cooked, the Baked Fish Fillet is served hot, ideally with light sides such as steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a mixed salad.
